Caroline began her career in the health field working as a Registered Nurse before commencing her own Naturopathic business in the mid 1990's. Her background of Nursing led her to work mostly in acute-care areas such as Emergency, Radiology and Neurosurgical Nursing and although enjoying the challenges, Naturopathic medicine was her childhood dream.
Caroline graduated in Naturopathy with excellent results and her interest has never waned since then, with additional studies and reading in this fascinating area.
Having been told at the beginning of her career as a Naturopath that the likelihood of ever having children was incredibly slim due to a severe case of polycystic ovarian syndrome gave Caroline and Jeremy a particular interest in fertility. Despite surprising her doctor with a clean bill of fertility just nine months later, it was another 7 years before Caroline and Jeremy chose to have children.
It was during this time that Caroline concentrated on gaining additional knowledge in as many areas as possible, fine tuning weight loss outcomes, exploring family health and preconception difficulties, as well as finding constantly better ways to test and measure client health.
Taking an extended consulting leave after the birth of two children, Caroline became the Practice Manager for the clinic, keeping her knowledge base up to date through reading medical and science journals, as well as assisting in the writing of patient education, research and literature for the clinic. Caroline was regularly at the clinic for Naturopathic support or advice and assistance where needed, and is currently nearing completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Medicine (Anti-Ageing). Along with Jeremy, she will also complete a second science degree (Comp Med) in 2010.
With Caroline and Jeremy purchasing their own clinic premises in 2009, and with both children either in, or beginning school, it became a natural progression to put all those lectures and study back to good use, with Caroline resuming a consulting role.
